A Beautiful One Mile East Bay Loop: Chochenyo Trail

๐ Best times to visit: Spring for flowers; fall for birds, but a great spot year round (watchout for mud after rains).
๐ Difficulty: Easy. Flat, 1 mile loop or can be done as a longer ~4 mile trail by connecting to Tuibun trail

๐ง ๐ฆ โฟ๏ธ friendly: yes! Short and flat trail, benches to rest, wildlife to observe. There are two disabled parking sites at the Visitor Centerโs parking lot. Both of the public restrooms at the Center have an accessible stall.

๐ Tips: Park in the visitor center. Do this loop first and then consider a longer hike through Bayview trail. Check out the visitor center to see educational displays and exhibits portraying the native Ohlone way of life. No fishing or swimming allowed.
