Trail: Little Yosemite to Canyon View Trail, nestled within Sunol Regional Wilderness

Parking Fee: On the weekends and holidays, there is a $5 fee to get with a $2 dog fee.

Dog Friendly: Yes (see fee structure above)

Best times to visit: After the rains for peak waterfalls!

Difficulty: Approximately 4.4 miles but can be done as an out and back in two miles or approximately 3 miles with the “Cerro Este Road” shortcut

Elevation: Around 500 ft, with less elevation if you do it as an out and back. The waterfalls are a steep downhill to access (approximately 20-30 ft of loose rock to get down)

Gear: Wear sturdy hiking shoes, as the terrain can be rocky in some sections. Carry plenty of water, as there are limited water sources along the trail.

Tips: Start early in the day, especially during the warmer months, to avoid the heat. Canyon view trail is nearly shadeless. The waterfall area has tons of big rocks to climb (no swimming or wading in the water) and the creek has lots of smaller rocks to play with. Be careful of the cows, they can be grazing and get startled from people walking by

Always leave no trace and I hope to see you on the trail!
